There still are a few people I'd like to follow on the birdsite, but I'd prefer not need to go there. I've been using tweets.icu mirror for this, but with the API dead, it doesn't work. No worries, there are more tools. bird.makeup is still works:

You know, bird.makeup is INCREDIBLE. Not only does it get past the Birdsite's API limits, it correctly mirrors threads, replies, retweets and quote tweets. I understand some large instances block it, and I feel doing so is as stupid as Birdsite's API blocks are. It's an amazing tool for bridging the gap for some of the people who haven't found their way here yet, but should. #birdmakeup

Pick a birdsite account. Search for account@bird.makeup here. Follow it. If you're the first to follow, it'll take half an hour or so before you see the tweets, if not, you can browse its history immediately. Such as: @zelenskyyua

@osma @zelenskyyua@bird.makeup my instance must be blocking it. Any one I try and search for with the ending bird.makeup search comes back no posts found search may not be enabled on this instance. Oh well

@jasonrak Weirdly enough, I can't follow Vincent, or apparently anyone else on librem.one from this account. I can see him from my private server though...

@osma I emailed my instance’s admin. Maybe they can clue me in to tell me for sure that it’s blocked on techhub.social. Thanks for your help tho 👍
